About the event

Workshop Description:

To be forewarned is to be forearmed! We will explore the many pitfalls and mistakes that talent often make when self-taping auditions so that you can avoid them. Enhance and hone your skills in breaking down copy and interpreting casting directions so that you present the best audition possible. Practice your reads and get the one thing you can't have with self-taped auditions - real time feedback from an experienced casting pro!

Instructor Bio:

Zach made his entrance into the voice over world back in the year 2000 as an assistant in the newly launched Voice-Over Department of the William Morris Agency in Los Angeles. He spent many hours in the booth alongside famed voice director Leigh Gilbert learning the craft of voice direction. After a couple of years directing in-house auditions for all WMA talent ranging from A-list celebrities to Scale actors, Zach was promoted to the role of Voice Agent. While serving as a Voice Agent, Zach transferred to William Morris' New York City office and aided the launch of their Scale Voice Division. He has served as a freelance voice casting director at studios all over Toronto, namely: Pirate Radio & Television, Kim Hurdon Casting, & Grayson Matthews. Eventually he hung his own casting shingle, Blue Room Casting, running the voice casting arm of RMW Music. For the past nine years Zach has operated as the exclusive Voice Casting Director of Grayson Music Group, a multifaceted creative audio agency based here in Toronto.
