Workshop Description:

Explore the musicality involved in voice acting and how you can use it to your advantage to create a performance and character that you can be proud of.

In this workshop, Steph Misayo Seki will share techniques she uses as a working voice actor, and will walk you through some common methods used at a typical recording session.

Instructor Bio:

Steph Misayo Seki has been working in the field of Voice Work (Animation, Commercial, Audiobooks, Web and Mobile Games) for 15 years. Within these realms she has served various roles such as Voice Director, Voice Actor, Record Assistant, Casting Administrator and Theme Song Composer.

She has been a Voice Actor for 10 years. Some of her notable roles include: PAW Patrol (Farmer Yumi), Wishfart (Akiko), PJ Masks (Moths, Henchmoth), Mysticons (Willa), Hero Elementary (Sara Snap), True and the Rainbow Kingdom (Shadow), The Zhu Zhus (NumNums), Beyblade: Shogun Steel (Maru)

Stephany is currently and has been Voice Directing PAW Patrol for 7 years now. and Record Assisted and Casting Assisted over 60 different Animated Series and movies including; The Breadwinner and PJ Masks. As a musician who enjoys playing cello and bass guitar, she actively draws upon her enjoyment of studying/performing music to find parallels with the musical nature of voice acting where emotional communication, cadence, dynamics and performing for an audience are all key.
