About the event
Workshop Description:
In this workshop, you will explore essential preparation for narration such as why the manuscript must always be pre-read, how to mark up the script to maximize efficiency and flow during narration, and character development and voice clips for fiction. Using a fiction piece (with some dialogue) of your choice, you will practice narration with a focus on pacing, breathing, pausing and other non-verbal vocal noises, receiving direction and notes. You will also learn about common home studio requirements and equipment including DAWS, commonly used apps for script reading, and punch & roll vs. open roll/dog clicker pre-editing.
