About the event

Workshop Description:

Creating and performing animated characters should be a joyful, playful process but can often feel like we're inventing the "right character choices" instead of discovering them. We should give ourselves the chance to try things, fail and try again. In Improv(e) your Animated Characters we'll dive into using improvisation and other playful exploration techniques to help you discover a multitude of potential choices for creating characters and help you get out of your own way so your reads feel dynamic, fresh and full of fun.

Instructor Bio:

Matt Folliott is a Comedian/Actor/Writer from Toronto, Canada, and a former cast member of The Second City National Touring Company and Canadian Comedy Award Winning Sketch Group ‘The Sketchersons’. Nominated for Best Male Improviser two years in a row in Toronto’s beloved NOW magazine and a Canadian Comedy Award for Best Improv Troupe with his group K$M (pronounced K and M)…

"Kim Hurdon is an absolute delight to work with, and in my opinion, the top of all the top voice directors. She keeps her calm while keeping things upbeat and fun. She manages the producers and directors as expertly as the actors. Kim knows how to translate what's on the page into directions that actors understand so they give you the performance you're looking for. If it were up to me, I would work with Kim Hurdon on every project.”
