Kim Hurdon offers one-on-one tutorials that take place in a professional recording studio. You will be provided with numerous radio and television scripts to read on mic. The scripts run the gamut from straight announcer copy to comedic to sexy to retail. As you run through the different reads, Kim will direct you and start to refine your “signature read”. This is the read that will come the easiest to you and is what you will be known for throughout your voice career. We will discover your natural aptitude for specific reads and energies so that you can refine your commercial career path.

During the process Kim will also give you general tips and pointers about the audition process, script analysis and the industry itself. You will start to become more familiar with the terminology and you will become accustomed to what you sound like on headphones.

The entire hour-long session will be recorded and burned to CD at the end of the tutorial so that you can walk away with your copy in hand. During the transfer, you can ask Kim any questions you may have regarding the session or the industry. Afterwards, you can refer to the CD, which will have both Kim’s direction and your work so that you can hear your progress throughout the session.
